US sanctions on oil, banks expected to be lifted: Iran spokesman | Iran News

Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi did not say what steps could be taken, as European spies say the success of the 2015 nuclear reshuffle was “uncertain” and “impossible”.

Iran’s top nuclear spokesman said Tehran hopes US sanctions on oil, banks and other countries as well as many individuals and organizations will be lifted based on agreements reached so far in Vienna, Iranian journalists have said.

Russia and the Western European powers at the time gave different indications of the work to come in conversation bringing Iran and the United States back on track following the 2015 nuclear deal, during which the talks were rescheduled for six days.

“Restrictions … on Iran’s power utilities, which include oil and gas, or car dealers, finance, banking and maritime sanctions, should all be lifted based on the agreements reached so far,” Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi told reporters on Saturday. and Iran.

Araqchi did not say what steps could be taken or say how Tehran could meet Washington’s demands and return to the things agreed upon.

“We will discuss it until both sides come close and say what we want to achieve,” he said.

“When they meet there is a union, otherwise there will be no union.”

When asked to comment, the U.S. Department of Culture returned to its previous remarks, including Friday from U.S. State Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, who said the talks were “in an undisclosed location”.

“We have seen the willingness of all parties, including Iranians, to speak out in detail about the sanctions and the way back to the JCPOA,” Sullivan said of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, head of the nuclear deal.

“But it remains to be seen whether this will reach a climax in Vienna,” he said.

President Joe Biden is looking for a return to the agreement after Washington’s release in 2018 under then-President Donald Trump and re-imposing sanctions on Tehran. Iran has responded since 2019 by violating many of the nuclear deal.

The remaining participants in the 2015 agreement have been in talks since early April to try again.

Negotiations began in Vienna with Iran, Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom and Germany – with which they had signed the agreement – meeting in the basement of a luxury hotel, as well as US representatives from another hotel across the street. Iran has refused to hold direct talks with US officials.

“We have a lot of work, and we have so little time left. In light of this, we would be looking forward to further progress this week, “E3 ambassadors – France, Britain and Germany – said in a statement on Saturday.

Officials said they hoped to reach an agreement by May 21, when the agreement between Tehran and the UN nuclear watchdog on nuclear deterrence in Iran expires.

“We don’t understand the basics. Success is not guaranteed, but it is not possible, ”he added.

The end of the talks is expected as delegates from several countries are expected to take part in a three-day conference for the London Foreign Service, which begins on Monday.

Meanwhile, Russian Ambassador Mikhail Ulyanov said on Twitter that “undisputed progress” has taken place, adding that he had a bright hope.

“It’s too early for us to be happy, but we have reasons to be cautious and to grow in hope. There is no deadline, but students are successfully completing the discussion in about three weeks. Is it possible? Let’s see,” wrote the titter.
