US rescues Chinese companies from Uighur | Human Rights Issues

Export restrictions are targeted at Xinjiang solar-powered manufacturing companies.
On Wednesday, the United States ordered the deployment of five Chinese companies that are said to be involved in human rights abuses in China, including major manufacturers of polysilicon in solar companies.
The companies have been linked to human rights abuses and harassment Uighurs and a few other Muslims, according to a US government report Wednesday. The U.S. Department of Commerce says these companies are accepting or using it under duress.
Companies that have been added to the Commerce department’s sales list include Hoshine Silicon Industry; Xinjiang Daqo New Energy, part of Daqo New Energy Corp; Xinjiang East Hope Nonferrous Metals, Shanghai-based subsidiary of Shanghai East Hope Group; Xinjiang GCL New Energy Material and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC).
Some companies are the largest manufacturers of monocrystalline silicon and polysilicon used making the sun.
U.S. officials have also said that President Joe Biden’s advisers are considering banning Chinese solar panels in Xinjiang, where the world’s largest amount of polysilicon used in solar panels comes from.
“It is my understanding that Biden’s management is currently investigating whether this should be the case sanctions, ”Biden’s envoy John Kerry told US Parliament in May about solar panels in Xinjiang.

All Biden officials and former presidents of former President Donald Trump have taken a false step against China’s treatment of the Uighurs.
