Turkey’s Ministry of Natural Resources says Yalova and Balikesir were among the cities where most prisons were cleansed.
Turkey has collected 2,684 cubic feet (94,784 cubic feet) of mucilage from Lake Marmara over the past seven days.
Sharing the latest changes in the water purification process, Turkey’s Minister of Environment and Urban Development Murat Kurum said on Tuesday that the work was going well and that the delegates had been deployed.
The northwestern state of Yalova, Istanbul, and the western part of Balikesir are some of the areas where most of the bribes have been released, he said.
“In the 1,438 tests we have done since June 14, we have fined 7.55 million Turkish liras ($ 881,239) for businesses that did not meet the requirements,” he said.
Mucilage, also known as “sea snot”, is a small amount of algae called phytoplankton and is caused by warm seawater due to extreme temperatures, stagnant water and pollution.
On June 6, Turkish officials announced plans for 22 points to end the floods that engulfed parts of Lake Marmara in the northwest.
The wounds – found in Mudanya, Gemlik Bay, Gebze and surrounding areas, coastal areas of Anatolia in Istanbul, and on the Princes Islands – met briefly on the shores of Lake Marmara.
Coverings along the northwest coast of Yalova province were blown away by winds in the Cinarcik and Armutlu provinces as well as the town of Esenkoy, a tourist destination.
