India has reported more than 300,000 cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the highest number in the world, with deaths from COVID-19 also making history.

India’s daily jump in 314,835 cases exceeds the global one-day increase of 297,430 cases filed by the United States in January.

The total number of cases in India now stands at 15.93 million, with 2,104 deaths and 184,657 deaths, according to a study by the Ministry of Health.
