Darnella Frazier filmed the killing of George Floyd, a black police officer, who ‘promoted protests against police brutality’.

Darnella Frazier, a young activist who shot the hand-painted video of the assassination of George Floyd, has received a special comment from the Pritzer Prize board.

Frazier’s film has been described as “demonstrating the important role citizens play in questioning journalists of truth and justice” by the Pulitzer group, whose annual awards are the most recognizable in American journalism.

Mindy Marques, chair of the committee, on Friday called Frazier’s video “a reformer” and described it as “entertaining viewers and promoting protests against police brutality around the world”.

“I have been lying and apologizing to George Floyd for not doing much and not connecting and not saving his life,” Frazier said. “That’s not what I had to do; that’s what [Chauvin] he should have done. ”

The Pulitzers declared Buzzfeed a success “because of its clear and concise content that uses satellite imagery and architecture and interviews with two former inmates to identify the new Chinese government-built infrastructure to house more Muslims”.

The Council also recognizes professional achievements, and has awarded its prestigious award to Louise Erdrich for her book “The Night Watchman” in an attempt to oust the United States in 1950.
