Saudi Arabia says it is blocking flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ethiopia and Vietnam to protect against other species of coronaviruses.

The move was announced on Saturday seven weeks after the state allowed all vaccinated citizens to travel abroad to ban foreign travel that lasted more than a year.

Citizens may be barred from “traveling around or in any other way, without permission from the” authorities “.

This was due to “the spread of the coronavirus and the spread of the virus”, it said, not to mention the upcoming Delta frontiers around the world.

Originally found in India and now found in at least 85 countries, Delta is the most widespread of all known species of coronavirus.

The UAE – a resting place for many in Saudi Arabia, especially Dubai – announced last week that it had filed a lawsuit against the Delta change and suspended flights to India.

Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, has set significant limits on annual Hajj travel. He officially recorded more than 490,000 cases of coronavirus, including about 7,850 people.
