Oman reports the number of deaths by COVID within 72 hours: Report | Coronavirus News Plague

A total of 119 people died and 5,517 people were infected with the virus for 72 hours, local media reported.

Oman has announced an increase in the number of infectious diseases and the death of COVID-19 in the last 72 hours, with 119 dying from the disease during this time, Oman News reported on Sunday.

The prevalence of illness and death comes after the Ministry of Health in the country he announced that three patients with COVID-19 contracted a fungal infection called mucormycosis – known as “black fungus” – earlier this month.

Health officials in Oman have also warned that there is a serious shortage of beds in the hospital due to the spread of many strains of coronaviruses, residual vaccines and travel restrictions.

To date, Oman has recorded more than 256,542 cases of coronavirus, including 2,848 people, according to Johns Hopkins University.

‘Black mushrooms’

The fungal epidemic began to plague India as coronaviruses increased in India earlier this year. Other countries, including Egypt, have reported dispersal cases in recent months because the disease has worsened.

Black fungus existed in India before the virus, but it increased fear when it infected thousands of people who had been infected with HIV or who had recently recovered from COVID-19.

Mucormycosis is caused by the presence of intestinal fungi, which are found in the soil, air and in the nose and mucous membranes of humans.

The disease also helps patients with weakened immune systems and other disorders, especially diabetes, as well as the use of other drugs such as steroids. Uncontrolled blood sugar can put vulnerable people at greater risk of contracting the disease.
