Boris Johnson bridged the gap between the UK and the US over Brexit’s effects on peace in Northern Ireland, saying the two countries and the EU were “fully united” in the 1998 peace agreement.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has described US President Joe Biden as “fresh air” as well reduced the difference about the consequences of Brexit on a peace deal in Northern Ireland, after meeting again at the end of the G7 summit.

The two were smiling as they interviewed reporters less than 90 minutes after the negotiations closed, with Biden ordering criticism in London over their dispute with the European Union over new trade deals in Northern Ireland.

Following talks in Cornwall, England, Johnson said the United States, the United Kingdom and the EU were “fully united” in finding solutions to the 1998 peace agreement that ended years of divisive conflict in Britain.

“There is complete agreement on the need to continue, find solutions, and ensure that we adhere to the Belfast Friday Agreement,” Johnson said.

After Brexit, a new approach was needed on the border between Northern Ireland, which is part of the UK, and Ireland, because the EU wants some goods to be monitored and others not to be approved at all.

Prior to the deadline of June 30, further negotiations – including the sausage – have been controversial and have attracted the attention of the White House.

U.S. officials say the U.S. is not preparing for the talks and Biden will not train Johnson but will also urge the election to be held as soon as possible.

“I think the interesting thing is that Northern Ireland is a wonderful place and it has amazing potential. It’s a very good place in the UK,” Johnson said.

Asked if Biden had made a clear statement of the situation in Northern Ireland, Johnson said, “No, he did not.”

Johnson says Biden wants to work with London on a number of issues ranging from climate change and COVID to security.

“It’s a breath of fresh air,” Johnson said in an interview with Biden. “It’s new, it’s exciting and we’re working hard together. We went on for about an hour or 20 or so. It was a long, long, good part. We studied a variety of subjects. ”

‘A Special Relationship’

Biden was also serious about the meeting with Johnson, and said the two had discussed a number of issues.

“We have established a special relationship between our people,” Biden said.

The US president said the agreement addresses issues including computer security, new technology, global health and climate change.

A statement from the White House was issued shortly after the meeting between the two leaders said “the UK and the US have reaffirmed their commitment to work with all parties” to protect [Good Friday] The alliance is “recognizing its vision of reconciliation, acceptance, equality, respect for freedom, and dignity”.

The US president has strongly opposed Brexit, the UK’s departure from the EU which Johnson encouraged, and has outlined his future in Northern Ireland.

Atlantic Charter, a new group

Biden said the two leaders were also involved has changed the Atlantic Charter of the 80s, which led to the United Nations and NATO.

The new issue looks at the challenges that countries like China and Russia have pledged to help promote free trade, human rights and international law, and to deal with “those who want to undermine our institutions.”

The new law also included “information interference” on elections and economic activities, lawsuits filed by whites in Moscow and Beijing.

Biden and Johnson also teamed up with a new task team to explore how to start a journey between the UK and the US, closely following the coronavirus vaccine in both countries.

He also pledged to work on “growing trade and advancing the future UK-US alliance”, according to Downing Street.

Biden has warned that any return to the UK over its Brexit-EU outcome in connection with Northern Ireland could jeopardize US trade talks.
