Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been hospitalized in Sao Paulo with abdominal pain, according to local media reports.

The Globo TV network showed pictures of a 66-year-old getting off a presidential plane with his team after landing in Sao Paulo around 1:30 am (04:30 GMT). He was later taken to Vila Nova Star Hospital, it said.

Globo quoted Bolsonaro doctor Antonio Luiz Macedo as saying that Bolsonaro had abdominal pain. According to the UOL newsletter, Macedo said the President has had several tests on her abdomen.

There were no recent comments by the President’s press.

Macedo underwent Bolsonaro surgery after being arrested at a political rally during the 2018 presidential election. Since then, Bolsonaro has undergone several abdominal surgeries.

In July, he was hospitalized for a serious problem of hiccups.
