Iran, US Middle East warships meet | Middle East News

Iran has said nothing about what happened in the Persian Gulf, the first such meeting since last April.

U.S. and Iranian naval forces have been meeting violently in the Gulf waters earlier this month, the first such incident in nearly a year in the region’s major turmoil over the Tehran nuclear deal, the U.S. Navy said Tuesday.

Photographs – of April 2 – released by the Navy showed a ship controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) pulled over in front of the USCGC Monomoy, causing the US Coast Guard to stop abruptly with its engine running.

The IRGC did the same with the Coast Guard, USCGC Wrangell, said Commander Rebecca Rebarich, a spokeswoman for the US Navy’s 5th Fleet.

Iran has not acknowledged the incident, which has not been harmed or damaged.

“U.S. crews have issued several warnings via radio to the bridge, temporary cries from the ship’s horns, and when[Iranian]Harth 55 answered frequently asked questions, “he continued in unsafe ways,” Rebarich said.

“After about three hours the US is issuing a warning and launching a self-defense weapon, (Iran) fled away from US ships and opened a gap between them,” added Rebariach.

‘Unsafe and useless’

The agreement outlined the initial “unsafe and useless” actions against Iran from April 15, 2020, Rebarich said.

Iran dropped this in 2018 and almost all of 2019, he said.

In 2017, the US Navy recorded 14 incidents describing what it described as “unsafe or unsafe” in collusion with Iranian troops. It recorded 35 in 2016, and 23 in 2015.

Maritime events often affect the IRGC, which only mentions Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

On weekends, the tapes appeared in which Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif was heard to say that the IRGC had often thwarted Tehran’s efforts, while “field activities” under the auspices of the IRGC did not move to replace negotiations, just as Iran was in talks that ultimately led to a significant agreement. The 2015 nuclear program is a world government that has lifted a number of sanctions.

There is also what happened in 2016 when the Iranian military arrested and detained overnight 10 U.S. pilots stranded in Iran’s border waters.

The story comes as Iran negotiates with international authorities in Vienna to renew the 2015 nuclear deal when former US President Donald Trump left and imposed sanctions on Iran.
