Indonesia unveils Iranian train four months later | Posting Issues

An Iranian ship has been hijacked due to suspected illegal trade in oil in Indonesian waters.

Tunduma, Iran – Hourly table Iran says Indonesia has released its oil tanker it seized at the end of January after court decisions ended.

The National Iranian Tanker said in a statement that MT Horse and its crew were released on Friday, 125 days after efforts by Iranian officials and the foreign ministry were successful.

“Despite facing many challenges and living away from families, MT Horse professionals and volunteers persevered in protecting the country’s interests and maintaining its oil and commodity economy,” the state-owned company said.

The ship has now resumed operations in the region and will return to Iranian waters after completion, he added.

Indonesia said its coast guard had hijacked an Iranian warship, including the well-known Panamanian MT Freya, for allegedly smuggling oil into its waters.

Iran’s foreign ministry at the time ignored the seizure, saying it had ended a “technical issue” and such incidents were not uncommon in trade.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif traveled to Indonesia in April and met with senior officials, including President Joko Widodo. But after the summit, he and the Foreign Minister did not mention the ship, saying it spoke of strengthening bilateral relations and condemning sanctions imposed on the United States on Iran.

The main purpose of the US sanctions is to export oil to Iran, and Iran conceals its deportation through a variety of means, including restrictions on its stock options.

The MT horse was used last year to save 2.1 million barrels of condensate from Venezuela approved by the US.
