Judges Elizabeth Holmes gathered in the courtroom to hear for more than 30 minutes a statement from the founder of Theranos Inc. he explains in detail to the cashiers that played during his trial.
The camera at the 2013 conference was captured by a Texas money changer who testified in October. It featured a young businessman demonstrating his company’s technical expertise in technology, high prices, and closing financial opportunities.
Bryan Tolbert, head of the Dallas-based Hall Group, testified two months ago that Holmes was so content with the convention program that he agreed to increase his company’s share in Theranos from $ 2 million to $ 7 million.
The judges are in their third day of trial in a San Jose, California, court after hearing three months’ testimony.
The 37-year-old businessman was charged with fraud and conspiracy in 2018, the same year when his blood test collapsed after he earned $ 9 billion. Holmes faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison if convicted.
