Brazil killed 500,000 COVID people while protesters protested | Coronavirus News Plague

Thousands of people protested in response to President Jair Bolsonaro’s epidemic as the Brazilian population of COVID, the world’s second-largest, has exceeded 500,000.

Thousands of people have taken to the streets across Brazil to complain about President Jair Bolsonaro’s epidemic, blaming the president for not immediately getting the vaccine and asking for a mask.

The protests came after Brazil’s health minister announced that the country had surpassed 500,000 people from COVID-19, the deadliest in the world after the United States.

“I am working hard to vaccinate all Brazilians in a very short period of time and change this that has been happening to us for a year,” Marcelo Queiroga said on Twitter.

Brazil reports more than 70,000 coronavirus infections every day. About 11 percent of Brazilians are fully vaccinated and 29% have received the first dose, health ministry data show.

The government has been widely criticized for taking advantage of the old opportunity to buy vaccines. Pharmacist Pfizer said there was no response to the initial public offering of vaccines to the government between August and November last year.

“We are protesting against the Bolsonaro government which did not buy the vaccine and did not do anything to care for its people last year,” said Aline Rabelo, 36, as she staged a demonstration in the main market in Brasilia.

Bolsonaro’s printing office did not respond immediately.

Brazil’s top journalist, Globo, said that by evening, protests had taken place in about 44 cities in 20 states. The protests carried signs demanding Bolsonaro’s resignation while singing and beating drums.

While organizers have promised massive demonstrations in more than 300 cities, meetings in Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia on Saturday morning do not seem to be bigger than the big demonstrations ending on May 29.

Demonstrations in Sao Paulo, Brazil’s largest city, are set to begin in the afternoon.

A special Senate committee is investigating the response of the Bolsonaro epidemic, pointing out that the government has been slow to seek vaccinations by setting up a vaccine for COVID-19.
