The Syrian immigrant was found dead on the Polish-Belarus border | Migration Issues

Polish police say the body of a man was found near the village of Wolka Terechowska, who was recently detained as a result of a border dispute.

Polish police say the body of a Syrian boy has been found in the woods near the border with Belarus, who was recently tortured politically at the eastern border of the European Union.

The government in Minsk for months has been promoting unstable migration across the border into the EU countries of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. All three countries are tightening their borders, seeking to curb the newly opened migration system, and things are getting worse as the winter approaches.

“Yesterday, in the woods, near the border, near Wolka Terechowska, the body of a Syrian boy was found,” Podlaska regional police said on Twitter on Saturday.

“Events at the site of the discovery did not allow the cause of death to be determined.”

This brings the death toll now to at least nine people affected by the migration sponsored by former Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.

Most of the refugees are from Syria, Iraq, or anywhere else in the Middle East – people who want to escape conflict and despair because of the hope of a better life in Europe. Poland’s border officials say that at present there are more than 4,000 people detained at the border.

Following the major European migration in 2015, Europe has been tightening its borders to prevent newcomers. However, every year tens of thousands try to get in, start dangerous trips and sometimes kill at sea and on land.

Since the summer, thousands have been attracted to what appears to be a new and easier way to enter Europe, via Belarus.

The EU accuses Lukashenko of devising a way to overturn the sanctions imposed by his government after the 2020 election, which he considered to be “extremist” and a “gross violation of internal strife”.
