South Koreans were forced to provide sex services to Japanese military personnel before and during World War II.
South Koreans are celebrating 30 years since the start of the weekly protests against the issue of sex slavery in Japan during the war.
The protesters want to offer their sincere apologies and condolences to the thousands of women who have been sexually abused and sexually assaulted.
Seoul and Tokyo agreed in 2015 and Japan agreed to pay around $ 9m to victims and their families.
But last year, a South Korean court and the Ministry of Coordination ruled that it was not enough – an escalation of tensions between the two countries.
