WhatsApp blocks 2 million Indian users due to corruption of ‘spam message’ | Management Issues

A US-based company has announced this as it presents its first report on compliance with new laws in India.

WhatsApp has banned more than two million users in India in just one month for violating its rules, a US company has announced in its first follow-up report according to new laws in India.

Many users were shut down on what the company called spam abuse.

The Facebook company has set limits on texting to counteract falsehoods.

India enacted new rules in May to regulate television companies, forcing them to report monthly their efforts to police on their platforms.

“We have the potential ahead of us to identify these high-profile or bizarre accounts and ban two million accounts in India alone from May 15 to June 15 in an attempt to commit atrocities,” WhatsApp said in a report released late Thursday.

The company said its “main goal” remains to prevent the spread of dangerous and unwanted information.

WhatsApp has more than 400 million users in India, one of the largest in the market, but often finds itself facing criticism over the spread of fraud.

Many people have been killed in India in 2018 following rumors spread on WhatsApp of criminals kidnapping children.

These developments resulted in the program sending more information to India.

WhatsApp and other Indian media companies want to challenge the new rules in court.

Opponents say the government wants to deal with dissent but the government says it is working to create security media.

According to the rules, a social networking site is required to report information about the “first” content that undermines Indian authority, public security or public order.

WhatsApp says the laws violate India’s privacy laws.
