Amazon has opened up a whole new dimension in its fight with Netflix. The company is bringing in anime Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.01 Three times Together to Prime Video worldwide, with the exception of Japan, on August 13th, according to Deadline. Along with the revised version released last month, the fourth and final title in the video saga has generated more than $ 86 million in exhibitions in Japan, making it the most profitable annual event. For those who have missed previous posts, the good news is that they will be back on Prime Video, plus Evangelion: 1.11 You Are Not Alone, Preaching: 2.22 You Can’t (Not) Go On and Evangelion: 3.33 You Can’t (Not Do) Restore.
Combining magical events with a middle-aged drama, the Evangelion franchise has become a traditional Japanese behemoth social media overseas. Netflix ran it original list back to 2019 with two videos – Evangelion: True Death² and The End of the Evangelion – as part of his push for Japanese animation. While it helped to expand the show, some traditional fans were upset that Netflix decided to go with a new word for its English dub instead of the first players. Recently, the girl announced that it was launching 40 videos and videos in order to adopt Asian subscribers.
Amazon, on the other hand, has been accustomed to anime in the past, especially through Immortality Page change in 2019. Preaching it is a great opportunity for a company and success can spark its interest.
