US seizes thirteen websites used for ‘Irin disinformation’ | Internet Stories

The U.S. Department of Justice and the Department of Commerce have seized about thirteen pages, most of them linked to Iranian events, U.S. government sources told Reuters and the Associated Press news agency Tuesday.

A US government announcement is expected later.

The site appears to include Iranian journalists in Iran, including journalists from Press TV, Yemeni Houthi video for Al Masirah pilot and Al-Alam Iranian film.

A visit to the site brought a warning to the US government on Tuesday. The report states that the websites were seized “as part of compulsory regulation” by the US Bureau of Industry and Security, the Office of Export Enforcing and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The US government has also received the name of the Palestine Today website, which reflects the views of groups living in Gaza. Hamas and Islamic Jihad, by revoking the page to identify itself.

Last October, the Justice Department announced that it had seized almost 100 pages linked to Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guard. The U.S. says the site, operating as a commercial site, was conducting a “global media campaign” to attract US policy and push Iranian propaganda around the world.

This comes just days after Iran’s brutal election, Ibrahim President, known for its hatred of Western nations.

President’s decision is seen as painful in an attempt to revive Tehran’s 2015 nuclear deal, where US President Donald Trump has left in 2017.

The president remained strong at his first press conference. He ordered the possibility of meeting with US President Joe Biden or discussing with them the Tehran missile program and assisting local forces – concerned Biden officials want to resolve future negotiations.

Relations between Iran and the US have soured over the years since Trump’s departure nuclear deal and restore destructive US.

The idea is that Iran, over time, is gradually abandoning any uranium enrichment limits as it continues negotiations with European countries trying to save trade.

The world now enriched uranium up to 60 percent, which is higher than ever, although still very small.

Marzieh Hashemi, a well-known Press TV woman who, in 2019, was arrested as a witness in an undisclosed case and appeared before senior Washington judges, told the Associated Press that the station was struggling to “find reasons” for the seizure.

During its broadcast in Iran, Press TV focuses on world events from the perspective of Iranian leaders around the world. Strong criticism of Britain, the US and Israel external factors are common.
