Senators are urging the US President to send a Vice President to Kamala Harris or another official to visit him in India, if an elderly spiritual leader cannot walk.
Democratic and Republican members in the US Congress have urged President Joe Biden to meet with the Dalai Lama to ensure that the rights of the Tibetan people remain paramount in the negotiations, despite the growing risk of tensions between Washington and Beijing.
