UK Prince Andrew has given military titles, aided: Palace | Stories

The move comes when Andrew’s lawyers failed to force a U.S. judge to drop the charge of rape.

The second child of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Andrew, who is facing a U.S. lawsuit over rape, has relinquished his distinguished military and civilian duties, says Buckingham Palace.

“With the approval and cooperation of the Queen, the Duke of York’s military and royal aides have been returned to the Queen,” he said Thursday.

“The Duke of York has continued to abstain from government activities and is defending the case as a first-time citizen.”

This happened after Andrew’s lawyers failed to convince an American judge ban a civil case that accuses him of rape.

The royal source says Andrew will no longer use the title “His Royal Glory” for any office and some of his responsibilities will be shared among other members of the royal family. He did not return to Prince Andrew.

Andrew, a former Royal Navy pilot who flew in the 1982 Falklands War, has been charged with rape. Virginia Giuffre when he was 17 years old.

Giuffre has said he is a shameless financier Jeffrey Epstein he borrowed her to sleep with his rich and powerful friends.

The announcement came after more than 150 Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and British Army veterans wrote to the queen, asking her to remove Andrew from her military service.

The 95-year-old prime minister is the head of the army, the navy and the air force.

“If it had not been for any other military officer, it would not have been possible for him to remain in office,” the militants wrote in a joint letter issued by the anti-apartheid regime.

“The British military authorities must uphold the highest standards of justice, honesty and integrity.

“These are the standards that Prince Andrew missed,” he wrote, adding that he “embarrassed the work experience he was experiencing”.

Jonah Hull of Al Jazeera, who hails from London, said Andrew had been a poison to the empire.

“She’s lucky [also] being a poison to the queen. She is her beloved son, her second child.

“This is a very special year for her [as it marks her platinum jubilee celebration, 70 years on the throne], and apparently, he is now more serious than ever in the criminal cases which he hopes will soon be put on one side, “Hull said.

The British royal family is elected honorable military commander, with the permission of the queen.

Andrew was a distinguished soldier of the Grenadier Guards, whose soldiers guarded Buckingham Palace in their special bears’ hats and red shirts.
