Syrian forces say several Israeli missiles hit the Latakia port, setting fire to some of them.
Syrian forces say Israeli warplanes have dropped artillery on the Latakia port in Syria, destroying weapons but not harming them.
The attack took place at 1:23 am local time on Tuesday (23:23 GMT Monday), SANA quoted a military source as saying.
He said several arrows hit the container cargo on the harbor, setting fire to some of them.
“Our air defense has prevented Israeli aggression in Latakia,” he said.
It was a rare attack on the port of Latakia, an important location where most of the goods from Syria were brought into the war zone.
The Syrian state television reported that a snow blast was heard on the harbor and a huge fire broke out in the area of the container and a blaze burst into the harbor.
The flames were extinguished.
There were no comments from Israeli forces.
Israel has been fighting for hundreds of goals within Syria which has been under state control for many years, but they do not agree or discuss this.
Some of the previous demonstrations affected the main airport in Damascus.
