The airline follows British Airways and Cathay Pacific flights with the city’s strict rules.
Swiss International Air Lines has temporarily suspended flights to Hong Kong until December 11 due to a ban on the isolation of co-workers, the German air force Lufthansa said on Saturday.
The move affects four flights from all over Zurich, the spokesman said, adding that Hong Kong is the only area affected.
The Swiss is monitoring the situation with a view to resuming operations, it said.
The move comes after British Airways and Cathay Pacific also cut off flights following strict city rules, which frustrating foreign businesses and residents. Under strict “zero COVID” regulations, Hong Kong, the world’s largest economic and financial center, mandates 14-21 days to accommodate almost all arriving hotels, whether they are vaccinated or not.
International airlines want to be unstable because of the Omicron coronavirus that can force them to change their schedule and destination and rely heavily on domestic markets if possible.
