Authorities say at least eight people have been killed and several others injured in a series of deadly bombings in Mogadishu.
At least eight people have been killed in a car crash in Mogadishu, Somalia.
“The car bomb exploded at a group of gunmen, including a group of rocket-propelled grenades using the Avisione Road. We do not know if the group is the owner,” the city’s ambulance chief, Abdikadir Abdirahman, told Reuters on Wednesday.
“We carried eight people who died at the scene.”
The National News Agency in Somalia reports “unidentified casualties”.
A Reuters reporter at the scene said the blast damaged four cars and two rickshaws.
“I saw five people wrapped in paper bags and covered with metal, legs visible and carried in an ambulance,” Ahmed Nur, a store clerk nearby, told Reuters.
