Movie Time 24 minutes 00 minutes
A truck driver delivers a ballot box, an armed robber, and two priests on a motorbike – all on Nicaragua’s rough roads.
The film follows three very different episodes of Nicaraguan streets.
Heiner is the driver of the vehicle for issuing ballot papers with election officials in remote areas for local elections. Failure could mean 90 days in jail. But his car is very old, and its roads are often impassable.
In the meantime, Hilario is expected to carry seven and a half tons of dynamite and explosives on rough roads over 400 miles (248 km) from Managua to the gold mining town of Bonanza. But he also needs a security guard to deal with any criminals who may want to direct his goods. And he has to get to Bonanza on the river before playing the final bridge into town.
And finally, two evangelical priests want to grow their steady church but it is shrinking. They are to deliver their message to other towns and villages, and to make more money from church donations. Their faith is put to the test as they try to make a tiring ride on a motorcycle on knee-deep mud in the mud and water.
