At least 12 people have been killed and seriously injured in an explosion at a mosque outside Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, according to police.
A blast of prayers Friday in Shakar Dara state came on the second day of a three days to end the war joined forces with the Afghan government and the Taliban on the Eid al-Fitr religious ceremony. There was no indication that he was responsible.
Kabul police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz said corruption had already been reported in the mosque, adding that authorities had opened an investigation.
