Review of Acer Chromebook Spin 713: All of this is a highlight

OIt’s about the best things Google Chromebook Pixel, launched in 2013, was a barrier. At a time when most laptops were using a 16: 9 screen ratio, the Pixel changed shape with a larger display, 3: 2. I fell in love with the additional visual effects. And while a handful of Chromebooks in recent years have also shown 3: 2 views, most have a wide range of features that are great for watching videos but not too much for grinding long documents.

Because of its glorious beauty, Acer’s Chromebook Spin 713 has been on my radar since its release in 2020 – and one of the few Chromebooks available with a 3: 2 display. announced a few weeks ago. At $ 699, it’s not cheap, but in many ways it’s a good Chromebook for anyone looking to upgrade to some of the more important features.

Goodness

  • A good show
  • Hard keyboard and trackpad
  • Good job

Bad

  • Battery heart rate
  • Lousy’s speakers
  • A little more expensive

My first impression of Spin 713 is that it uses a lot. It’s a great gray slay for a laptop, which does well to put it aside and loves the back and sides. (I like the light cover around the lid and the trackpad, though). The design may be functional, but Spin 713 is a sturdy, well-built, non-abrasive or non-abrasive carrier; The 360-degree hinge is sturdy and efficient. Obviously, since a computer is not cheap, it is cheap with a Chromebook, the standard of quality should be expected.

Depending on the design, the Spin 713 is not a very light or lightweight laptop – it weighs more than three pounds and is about two-thirds of an inch thick. It’s bigger and heavier than Google’s Pixelbook Go and Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2, to name a few. At least Acer hasn’t walked through the ports here: you’ll find two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports on the left, along with HDMI and headphones. The right side has a traditional USB-A port and MicroSD cards next to the camera and power button.

For now, both are part with a laptop, but the Spin 713 features are different. It’s a 13.5-inch support screen with an amazing resolution of 2,256 x 1,504. It is due to the 3: 2 factor ratio, which Acer claims to offer 18% more screen resolution than the most common 1080p display. It also has a pixel-density at 200 pixels per inch, a good bump at 166 PPI counting at 13.3-inch, 1080p display.

Putting aside the jargon, the Spin 713 form factor is my favorite thing. It’s bright and straightforward, and the increase in real estate makes my day-to-day operations easier. It’s great to see more of what I’m typing in Google Docs or more in Chrome. Since much of the internet is designed to run around, I am always amazed that the show is authentic – it’s good, it’s good for videos, but almost everything people do benefits from the visual space.

The keyboard and trackpad are very similar to what has been found on some recent Acer Chromebooks – they are good, but not the best I have ever used. The back keys have a lot of features, but they feel a little better than those on the Galaxy Chromebook 2 or Pixelbook Go. It doesn’t just have to be as tough or solid as some of those computers. I was able to type quickly and accurately, though. Thanks to the long-distance display of Spin 713, there is room for the safety of a large trackpad keyboard, which was smooth and responsive. Since trackpads on the Chromebook can often feel limited, this was a fun and unexpected spin length for Spin 713.

As the name suggests, Spin 713 has a 360-degree marker that gives you the opportunity to rotate on the screen on a tablet screen. I have written many times about how useless this deception is to me, and it has not changed this time. The art is also intriguing – in this case, they are the speakers. Spin 713 speakers are located under the laptop, so you can hear the sound when you are on the tablet. These two small speakers are not good – the volume is good, but there is not even a hint of bass. It is best to have good speakers on the keyboard and laptop.

Acer will offer Spin 713 in a variety of equipment configurations; the $ 700 version I tested featured an Intel’s 11th Core i5 processor processor (clocked at 2.4GHz and Turbo Boost up to 4.2GHz), 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This is a solid version of Chromebook. My favorite apps have Chrome windows windows with 10-15 tabs anywhere, including online apps Hangouts, Slack, Trello, Tweetdeck, Keep and YouTube Music. I also try several Android apps, including Telegram, Todoist, Facebook Messenger, Spotify and Adobe Lightroom, though most do not always work.

The main things I look to avoid in the Chrome OS system are the combination of tabs that need to be downloaded frequently, lazily for the Android app and skipping music. Not surprisingly, I have never encountered such problems with Spin 713; it has enough RAM and horsepower to help meet my limited needs. This also has the longevity of Spin 713, as the specs should be enough to run Chrome OS for years without any problems.

Unfortunately, like the latest Chromebooks I’ve tried, the Spin 713’s battery life is pretty good. When you release a clear video up to 66%, Spin 713 took over eight hours, approximately two hours apart from 10 hours of Acer. With good use the laptop took 6 to 7 hours. It is not dangerous to be given a Core i5 processor and a high-end interface, but I wish I had an hour or two.

There are tons of other Chromebooks on the market, but the Spin 713 is very special because of its long sleeve design. But there are a few Chromebooks that have the same specs as the price you should consider. The greatest among them is Samsung’s Chromebook 2, which was launched earlier this year. It’s lighter and lighter than the Spin 713 and really has the potential to add up. The downside is that it uses a Core i3 processor (not i5) and has a 1080p screen. But it uses Samsung’s QLED technology and is one of the best I’ve seen on a laptop for a while, except for a few features.

If you want to save money, Lenovo’s Flex 5 Chromebook is a great option. Yes, it’s from 2020 and has a bit more leftovers than Spin 713 and Galaxy Chromebook 2. We’re talking about last year’s Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. But, it sells for over $ 400 at Amazon right now and was a great success when I reviewed it. Acer also has a new, cheaper version, the Spin 514. It costs $ 600 and includes an AMD Ryzen 5 3500C processor combined with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Once again, you will miss the very long screen available on Spin 713, but otherwise it is a good laptop.

Although the Acer’s Chromebook Spin 713 does not have a stand-alone model, it can be an easy-to-accept tool. His character is good, he excels and he must be eager to serve you in the years to come. The addition of the 3: 2 display makes it one of the best Chromebooks on the market. I wish the battery life was longer and that it could have been a little longer, but it reaches almost everything correctly. If the price is not a threat and you do not need a high battery life, Spin 713 is a Chromebook that should satisfy almost everyone.
