Residents attack Palestinian cities after killing West Bank | West Bank News

Jewish residents have invaded several occupied villages in the West Bank, breaking into houses and cars and beating at least two people, Palestinian officials have said.

Friday’s attack comes a day after Palestinian militants killed an Israeli man while hiding in the area.

The death of Yehuda Dimentman, a resident of the area, was killed when terrorists opened fire on his car near an illegal West Bank area late Thursday, threatening to provoke further violence between Palestinians and Israeli residents.

Two other occupants of Dimentman’s car were slightly injured Thursday.

Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian Authority official in charge of construction projects, said groups of former residents stormed several Palestinian villages near the northern city of Nablus early Friday, breaking into cars and houses. Two wounded Palestinian people were taken to hospital.

In the Palestinian village of Qaryout, settlers entered one house and tried to seize the occupant, Wael Miqbel, according to Daghlas.

Pictures shared on TV showed Miqbel with bruises and swelling on her face, while videos and other images posted on the internet showed conflicts between gunmen and Palestinians.

Speaking to Anadolu, Jihad Salah, head of Burqa village council northwest of Nablus, said residents had attacked the village with guns.

He added that he had set fire to a village house and stoned several Palestinian homes.

The Palestinian News Agency for the Dead reports that residents of Sebastia have raided the town of Sebastia, north of Nablus, and smashed several Palestinian vehicles and parking lots.

Israeli leaders have pledged to locate terrorists on Thursday and the military has sent more weapons to the area.

According to Wafa, at least three men from Burqa were arrested overnight.

The military said on Friday the search for Palestinian militants continued without comment.

Dimentman’s car caught fire after leaving a Jewish seminary in an area not allowed by Homesh, a site that had previously been evacuated as part of Israel from the Gaza Strip in 2005.

Recent threats are coming amid Israeli-Palestinian violence across the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Earlier this month, an Orthodox Jew was seriously injured when he was injured killed by a Palestinian terrorist outside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Last week, a member of Hamas opened fire in the Old City, killing an Israelite man. All the rebels were killed by the Israeli army.

This week, the Israeli army killed a Palestinian man during a plot in the Ras al-Ain region of Nablus, in the West Bank.

Earlier this month, the Israeli army was also involved killed a Palestinian man in the village of Beita, in the West Bank, during protests against illegal villages. Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian child after a series of car bombs exploded at a military base in the northern part of the West Bank.

Israel annexed East Jerusalem and the West Bank in the 1967 Middle East war. These territories now number more than 700,000 Jews living in 164 villages and 116 territories, which Palestinians claim as part of their independent state.

Under international law, all Jewish cities in the occupied territories were considered illegal.

Palestinians, as well as many nations around the world, consider their place of residence to be a major obstacle to peace.
