Qatar has launched its International Day celebrations with a morning show under the white sky on the beach in the state capital Doha.
Thousands of people and residents arrived on Saturday to watch the annual demonstrations that began with the national anthem, 18-gun salute and airplanes flying through the air.
Land, Air and Navy troops, presidential guards, and Lekhwiya security guards marched on Corniche Road. Troops from the Ministry of Interior for Public Security, Coast Guard, border patrols and traffic police also joined, with trumpets and drums.

Later, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani marched on the Corniche, greeting the spectators who hoisted the Qatari flag.

The December 18 holiday marks the Qatar Revolution in 1878 under the leadership of the country’s founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani. It has been celebrated every year since 2007.
This year, only those who received the call – about 9,500 people – were allowed to watch as Qatar continues to take action to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The celebration took place under the slogan “Ancestral Swamps; a reliable story ”, a term that refers to highlighting the global environmental crisis as Qatar seeks to address climate change as part of the Vision 2030.

This year’s celebration comes as Qatar prepares to host the final match of the FIFA Arab Gulf Cup, which will take place on Saturday.
The game has seen North African players Tunisia and Algeria competing for a title at the new Al Bayt Stadium in Doha. A night fire show is set to take place in Corniche just in time for the game to end.
In the past, Qatar and Egypt will compete for third place.
The competition is the pilot event for next year’s World Cup, which will be the first to take place in the Middle East.
‘The Year of Peace’
This day is also the first time since Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt were closed in Qatar in June 2017. inatha earlier this year.
