Putin: Relations between US-Russia ‘sharply declined’ over the years | Stories by Joe Biden

Russian President Vladimir Putin, before June 16th meeting and US President Joe Biden, says the relationship between the US and Russia is on nadir.
“We have a strained relationship that has deteriorated so far in recent years,” Putin told NBC News on Friday with an English translation of his statement.
Putin and Biden meet in Geneva next week and Biden, on to arrive in the United Kingdom during his first foreign trip as president on Wednesday, he warned Putin to send a clear message to him at their summit.
“We do not want conflicts with Russia,” Biden said. “We want a stable and secure relationship … but I have made it very clear: The United States will respond with confidence and prudence if the Russian government does something wrong.”
The first meeting of the two leaders comes after relations between Washington and Moscow were disrupted by a number of issues, including Russian diplomats. Terrorists against the US and the arrest of Alexey Navalny, a Kremlin opponent.
Trump’s praise
In an interview with NBC, Putin praised former President Donald Trump as “an amazing, talented man,” and called Biden a “very different”.
“Well even here, I believe the former President of the United States Trump is a wonderful, talented man, otherwise he would not have been the President of the US,” Putin said.
“She is beautiful. You can love it or not. And, they didn’t come from the US, they haven’t had the politics of the past, and some like it, some don’t like it, but that’s true. ”
Putin added that Biden “is very different from Trump because President Biden is a man of expertise. He has been at almost every political level in politics.”
“He is a different person, and I have high hopes that yes, there are some advantages, some disadvantages, but there will be no attractions, instead of the American president.”
U.S. officials have seen next week’s face-to-face meeting between Putin and Biden as an opportunity to forge a closer relationship with what they see as former President Trump’s offer to Putin.
Russian officials told Reuters reporters that they saw the meeting as an opportunity to hear from Biden directly what a source close to the Russian government said were mixed messages from the U.S. administration that went into effect on January 20.
When asked by NBC about Biden calling him a murderer in a March interview, Putin said he had heard numerous cases. “This is not something I worry about a bit,” Putin said.
