Hamas officials say the violence erupted after an altercation broke out at the funeral of one of its members.
Three Hamas members were killed Sunday when a bomb exploded at the funeral of a member of the group killed in a blast at a Lebanese camp in southern Palestine, the group said.
Hamas Raafat al-Murra said members of the Fatah group had “mourned” the Palestinians who had been killed in another city. explosion Friday at the Burj al-Shemali camp, on the outskirts of Tire.

Hamas and Fatah have been at loggerheads since 2007 when a former party defeated Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the Gaza Strip by-elections.
A resident of the camp told the AFP newspaper that there was an argument “when the funeral procession arrived at the camp cemetery and suddenly there was a mass shooting”, adding that in the chaos it was not known who was shooting.
One resident said “when the shooting started, the funeral procession returned … and people fled.” The occupant added that Fatah was alert to the incident.
Friday’s blast
A short-circuit electrical outlet in a store containing oxygen for COVID patients triggered an explosion on Friday, Hamas said, denying reports that an ammunition depot had exploded.
The blast damaged the walls and shattered the windows of a nearby mosque. “The fire destroyed property but the effects were minimal,” Hamas said.
According to a Palestinian government official, one man has died in the blast, which has left several people injured.
On Sunday, mourners were in the streets of the Burj al-Shemali camp, chanting slogans urging Hamas.
Fatah and Hamas weapons were sent before the funeral.
Lebanon is home to thousands of Palestinian refugees and their descendants. Many live in 12 refugee camps located on the outskirts of the small Mediterranean country.
Several Palestinian militant groups, including those affiliated with Hamas and Fatah, have control over the camps, which Lebanese officials traditionally do not attend.
