Health officials in Israel said the 34-year-old wounded soldier had a serious but stable condition with head and chest injuries.

Saturday evening, Israeli troops shot and killed a 25-year-old Palestinian man Mohammad Salima after a stabbing attack near the old city of East Jerusalem.
