new Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has ended her marriage as the country imposes new sanctions to curb the spread of the Omicron species of coronavirus.
The so-called “red change” in response to the epidemic in this country includes a number of measures such as wearing the necessary mask and borders at meetings; the ban will take effect Monday.
Indoor hospitality such as bars and restaurants and events such as weddings should be available for 100 people. The limit is reduced to 25 people if the venue is not vaccinated.
Ardern stressed that “red is not closed,” saying businesses can be open and people can still go with relatives and friends and move around the country.
“Our initial Omicron case management system is still similar to that of Delta, where we will actively try, connect and isolate ourselves from our affiliates to reduce the spread,” Ardern told reporters in Wellington on Sunday.
New Zealand was one of the few countries that prevented the spread of the Omicron, but Ardern admitted last week that the spread was inevitable due to the large spread of the species.

The Nelson-Marlborough local family attended a wedding ceremony and other events in Auckland, estimating that they had met “more than 100 people at these gatherings,” Ardern said.
“This means that Omicron is now roaming Auckland and possibly the Nelson-Marlborough region if not elsewhere,” he added.
The move to the red zone also affects Ardern personally.

The Prime Minister is planning to get married next weekend, but due to the new restrictions, the ceremony will be canceled.
“I have just contacted many other New Zealanders who have been affected by the outbreak and to anyone who has been through this, I’m sorry,” he said.
“My marriage will not succeed,” he added. Ardern did not reveal the date of his wedding, but there were rumors that it was approaching.
Asked by reporters how he felt about the dissolution of his marriage with his longtime partner and fellow fisherman Clarke Gayford, Ardern replied: “Here is life.”
