Google brings strict security to Chrome

Google is promoting the protection of Chrome’s Enhanced Safe Browsing mode, which is owned by the company was released in 2020 adding another layer of security. It will add new features related to extensions and downloads.

If you have added Safe Browsing and are about to install additional features from the Chrome Web Store which is not in the trusted list, you will see a popup notify you of this. Currently, about 75% of the add-ons are considered reliable. In order for their extensions to be listed as such, manufacturers must comply with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Terms of Use. New advertisers must follow certain rules for a few months before they can be considered trustworthy.

In addition, Advanced Safe Browsing will have additional security for downloads. Each time you download a file, Chrome uses it first Google Safe Browsing analysis to see if it would be doubtful. If Safe Browsing thinks the file is dangerous but is definitely not good, you will see a warning if you have added Safe Browsing. It will ask you if you want to browse the file for more information.

Chrome you can upload the file as soon as it is tested, you will see another warning if Safe Browsing believes it is not safe. You can continue the warning and open the file, but it will be at your own risk. Any files uploaded to Safe Browsing will be deleted shortly.

Google says it will release this from Chrome 91, a browser-based version. That way, they should be available as soon as possible.
