A New York State attorney general said Tuesday he was dropping charges against former New York governor Andrew Cuomo for allegedly trying to help him after evidence was not available in court.

The verdict of Albany County Attorney David Soares came three days before the former Democratic governor to answer a criminal charge before a judge and following the decision of other state opponents to drop similar charges.

“Although we found the plaintiff in this case to be coherent and reliable, having looked at all the available evidence we have determined that we are not able to deal with our burden,” Soares said.

Soares said he was “deeply saddened” by his remarks but requested that the complaints lodged by the Albany sheriff in October be dismissed.

Cuomo resigned in August after the government research determined to have sex with 11 women. He served for 10 years as the governor of the fourth most populous country in the US. To avoid prosecution, Cuomo still faces a chance government claims due to the claims among other legal issues.

Albany’s complaint did not name the woman, but she was identified as Brittany Commisso, one of Cuomo’s aides at the state governor’s palace.

Commisso “had no jurisdiction over accusations or accusations. He had no control over the decision, “his lawyer Brian Premo said Monday.

“The only thing he has the power to do is to continue to speak the truth and to seek justice in the right cases, which he will do from time to time,” he added.

Commisso says Cuomo raised his hand up the blouse and held it to his chest alone in the office at the governor’s house in Albany in late 2020.

Her testimony was included in the report, released in August by State Attorney Letitia James, which stated that Cuomo abused several women. Cuomo ali controversy which the report found to be inaccurate and biased.

“I knew, and they also knew that this was wrong,” Commisso told investigators in the Attorney General’s Office. “And that no way, form or form called this, or I did not ask. I did not want to.”

Cuomo vehemently denied that Commisso was questioning him.

“I have to give up my mind to do something else – such a thing. It would be crazy to touch a woman’s breast and make myself vulnerable to a woman because of such accusations,” Cuomo told lawyers investigating cases of harassment of a senior lawyer, a Democrat colleague.

Growth in Albany comes after two New York City prosecutors announced in private that Cuomo would not be charged with felony criminal mischief for other women.

A Long Island state attorney announced on December 23 that there would be no case after a Cuomo security officer told state investigators she hit her abdomen at a ceremony in Belmont Park in September 2019.

Five days later, a district attorney in Westchester County announced that Cuomo would not be charged with felony criminal mischief for firing on a sculpture with a shotgun.

In both cases, the prosecutors said the charges were credible, but they could not proceed with the case.

On Monday, a Cuomo attorney said the Manhattan District Attorney’s office had informed him that it had closed an investigation into how the Cuomo office visited nursing homes during the coronavirus epidemic. The office declined to comment and did not say what it was looking for.

But Cuomo faced the people in the light of his government deaths of residents of nursing homes when the epidemic hit in 2020 with a law banning homes from converting patients who were recovering because they had COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the state attorney general is investigating how Cuomo uses agents to support technology and strengthen its epidemic history. Cuomo said he volunteered, using his time.

The New York State Ethics Commission last month ordered Cuomo to act return more than $ 5m in funding for this book, entitled, American Problems: Leadership Training from the COVID-19 epidemic.
