The Chinese space station in Tiangong is said to have been forced to take “collision-preventing security” at two “close” meetings with Starlink’s SpaceX satellites.
Chinese internet users criticized billionaire Elon Musk on Tuesday after Beijing claimed that its spacecraft had taken action not to hit its two SpaceX satellites, which could damage the tycoon’s reputation in a country that has embraced its Tesla electric vehicles.

Tiangong – meaning “celestial palace” – is China’s most recent act of supremacy in space, landing on Mars and sending exploration to the Moon.
Its major module entered the road earlier this year, with the station expected to operate by 2022.
Chinese TV operators criticized Musk and his companies for the incident, with one hashtag raising 87 million views by Tuesday morning.
“How strange it is that Chinese people buy Tesla, pay a lot of money for Musk to launch Starlink, and then [nearly] falls on a Chinese airspace, ”said one user.
“Be prepared to boycott Tesla,” said one, acknowledging China’s response to foreign powers that appear to be acting in violation of Beijing’s demands.
Some think Washington would have imposed sanctions if those positions had been changed.
“Why don’t you just do what they do?” one wrote.
SpaceX from California he did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Although Musk is popular in China, Tesla’s reputation, which sells thousands of cars in the country every month, has been shattered this year due to numerous accidents, disruptions and data storage concerns.
But Tesla is still very popular and sells almost one in four of its four cars in China. The company is also building a completely missing factory in Shanghai.
