Nassib announced this in an Instagram video and promised $ 100,000 to support LGBTQ youth.
Carl Nassib, the defender of the Las Vegas Raider American football team, has declared himself a prostitute, and has become the first member of the National Soccer League (NFL) to officially recognize homosexuals.
Announced in a video posted to Instagram.
“I’m at my home here in West Chester, Pennsylvania,” said 28-year-old Nassib. “I just want to respond quickly that I’m gay. I’ve been meant to do this for a while but in the end I’m free to get it off my chest. I have a wonderful life, a wonderful family, friends and a job that anyone can ask for.
“I’m a secretive person, so I’m sure you know I’m not doing this to see it. I just think representation and visibility are important. I hope that, one day, movies like this and all the way out are not necessary, but until then, I will do everything I can to have a culture that acknowledges that it is compassionate. ”
June is a Proud Month in the United States.
Nassib also announced a $ 100,000 donation to the Trevor Project.
“It’s a very good organization and what a suicide rate for LGBTQ youth in America,” he said.
Entering her sixth NFL season, 6-foot-7 (201cm) Nassib was the third choice in 2016 by Cleveland Browns. He spent two seasons with the Browns (2016-17), then two with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2018-19) before signing a three-year deal, $ 25.3 million, plus approximately $ 16.8 million, with the Raiders in March 2020.
In 73 games (37 starts), Nassib has 143 tackles (36 lost), 20.5 pockets, 16 defensive innings, one closure, three errors and a remake.
Nassib is on the verge of becoming the first player on the team to play in a regular game. Michael Sam came out as of 2014 in the St Louis Rams before signing him, but did not participate in the final.
