At least 11 Afghan bomb blasts killed Asian Stories

At least 11 people have been killed and dozens more injured when a bomb exploded in a bus in the southern Afghan province of Zabul, the interior ministry said.

The blast happened on Sunday night, according to Zabul spokesman Gul Islam Sial.

He said 25 people were injured, including women and children.

Violence in the country has risen sharply in recent weeks with the United States announcing its withdrawal from the country by September 11.

The Taliban announced over the weekend that it would announce the end of a three-day holiday for Eid al-Fitr this weekend.
