Two extra-time goals give Algeria a head start; Qatar defeated Egypt in third place.
Algeria scored twice in extra time to beat Tunisian neighbors 2-0 and win the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup.
Amir Sayoud scored in the ninth minute of extra time as Yacine Brahimi scored in the final of the match at Al-Bayt Stadium in Al Khor to take Algeria on Saturday.
Algeria added an Arab crown to the title of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, which they will defend in Cameroon next month.
Sayoud, 31, made his international debut in Algeria in the opening match of the tournament but did not play again until just after the final hour.
His powerful 99-minute shot turned Sayoud into an instant world champion.
Brahimi scored in the final game as Tunisia pushed everyone into the last corner and Brahimi ran unchecked after the ball was cleared by the Algerian defense.
Al Jazeera sports journalist Joanna Gasiorowska, speaking from Al-Bayt Stadium, said she was “surprisingly final” with the Algerian team which was “small and weak”.
“They don’t have any European players and they have signed up for a tournament like Algeria A,” he said. “They have done very well so far [to the final], and now he has won the race. It’s so amazing. ”

The 2022 World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
Al-Bayt Stadium, made up of tents used in the Qatar desert, will be the opening venue for the upcoming tournament.
