Apple is showing a video about founder Theranos Elizabeth Holmes

Apple will fund and distribute a long-running video about embattled Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. Bad Blood will star Jennifer Lawrence as Holmes, while Adam McKay will write and direct. Both are the developers of the project, which is also being developed between Apple Studios and Legendary.

The film, based on this book Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in Silicon Valley Start and the old Wall Street Journal journalist John Carreyrou, has been making progress since at least 2016, as Deadline notes. The video shows the rise and fall of Holmes and his company.

The hype around the start of the blood test made Holmes the youngest billionaire to make his own. Accusation is cases deception came to him resigned as CEO in 2018 and the company resigned later that year. Holmes is currently on trial for fraud.

Bad Blood is far from the only video and TV project about Theranos and Holmes. Hulu greenlit and miniseries in 2019 i Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon wrote a pencil to play for Holmes. He dropped out of school earlier this year, and was reassigned Amanda Seyfried. An HBO Notes about the Theranos saga that was launched in 2019.

Meanwhile, Lawrence and McKay recently worked together on the Netflix film Do not look up, which is available in theaters this week and will be available for viewing on December 24. It is a joke of two astronomers (played by Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio) who are trying to warn people of a dangerous comet about to collide with Earth.
