At least two people have been killed and four others injured in two eagles’ clutches in Kabul, according to the Taliban.
At least two people have been killed and four others injured in two separate bombings in Kabul, Afghanistan, according to the Taliban government.
“Two people have been killed and three others injured,” a bomb exploded Friday in a minibus in Dasht-e-Barchi district in Kabul, Taliban Interior Ministry spokesman Sayed Khosti told reporters.
Khosti added that a woman was injured in an explosion in the same area.
There were no such claims as to the cause of the violence.
Dasht-e-Barchi is home to many Shia Hazara people, who for years have been persecuted by the Islamic State in Khorasan Province, ISKP (ISIS-K), affiliated with the ISIL (ISIS) militant group.
In November, the same bomb that blew up a minibus in Dasht-e-Barchi killed two people and injured five others. This was stated by the ISKP.
The ISKP reports that 60 people were killed and many more were injured.
The attack came a week after another mosque exploded in northern Kunduz killing more than 60 people.
The Taliban have vowed to crack down on militants, to attack their hideouts, especially in the south and east of the country.
Friday’s bus explosion is the first massacre in several weeks.
The Taliban regained control in August, 20 years after being dropped off by US-led troops following a 9/11 threat. The white-backed government of President Ashraf Ghani collapsed during the last withdrawal of US troops in August.
