Pokémon satire ‘Palworld’ serves beautiful creatures for dinner in a new trailer

Last summer we (well, Engadget employees at least) together lost their focus on the announcement of Palworld, a beast of prey and fighting game in the Pokémon vein, but with a gun. It is easy to use. The manufacturer last week Pocketpair dropped another trailer and… is no longer a surprise.

The new trailer puts a gun to the front, along with several “friends” who look like Pokémon knockers like Ampharos, Umbreon and Xerneas, among many other well-known faces. The back half of the new trailer also features factory events that we saw last year, as well as some disturbing new photos.

If that were not troubling enough, Steam page is available, and the game description promises that you can “sell, kill and eat, give them hard work, rob, steal and exercise but this is up to the players to make big decisions” with the added warning, “Just don. get caught!

There is no set date for Japanese-made games, but the recent trailer time may be the reason imminent release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus about Change this week. Palworld promises both open and multiplayer, two things that Pokémon players have been asking for for years. But time will tell Palworld will scratch the itch at the end of this year … if it is not given a stop-by-stop.
