(Reuters) – The United States has released 470,297,846 doses of COVID-19 vaccine in the country since Sunday morning and distributed doses 580,417,105, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
The number of dosages offered increased from 468,516,782 as reported on Saturday, the CDC said.
The number of given doses, however, was slightly lower than the figures reported on Saturday. The CDC has previously stated that changes made by vaccinators could lead to lowering of rental information within certain days.
The agency said 235,698,738 people received a single dose, while 198,962,520 people received the vaccine from 6 am EST on Sunday.
The CDC tally includes a two-dose vaccine from Modern (NASDAQ 🙂 Inc i Pfizer (NYSE 🙂 Inc / BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson (NYSE 🙂 one type of vaccine.
Approximately 46.3 million people received an increased dose of Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine. Booster Level from Moderna and Johnson & Johnson was approved by US health authorities on Oct. 20.
