The second group of iZotope Spire Studio is a major overhaul at a great price
[ad_1]
We really like the originals Spire Studio from iZotope. The mobile-connected recording device was a unique concept along with a unique design. In revival, Spire is a “studio” of on-going musicians, offering two combi-XLR ports for microphones and equipment as well as a collaborative program for transitions and integration. There is also a storage machine that is kept safe until you return to the home studio.
All of this is intriguing, yet powerful. And recently it happened again updates which increased the same storage capacity from four hours to eight hours of recording (iZotope does not mention gigabytes, only “time”). The pre-amps have also been redesigned by the company stating that the new products are resistant to interference and gain sufficient volume (volume). Unfortunately, the only switch I hope isn’t here is the way to connect to a computer via USB. The program of Spire second-gen it has WiFi and Bluetooth but this is connected to your phone. It seems that the company really wants this to be just like “phones”.
In any case, after a while with a pre-designed color, it’s easy to see why Spire could be so popular among professionals and professionals alike. It is easy to use, but it gives you the knowledge that it is more capable than the concept of modesty suggests.
To use, it would not be easy. Plug in a microphone or instrument, click the “soundcheck” button and Spire will listen to you when you play or play and adjust the settings to your desired level. Click to take a picture and, well, you’re gone. When you are done, you can merge into new sections of the same type. If you are a multi-instrumentalist or even a singer / guitarist, this means you can look at each track and re-create the whole song.
Admittedly, I don’t like the built-in microphone, as long as it’s awkward. In most cases, this may be a good thing, but if you are in a place where you do not feel comfortable (where you may be if you are not at home) you can get a lot of surroundings. Do not intentionally make the IZotope component available as it is an omnidirectional condenser, designed for this purpose. But when you are not arguing with other musicians and you are the only one, something to keep in mind.
Fortunately, iZoptope software is good (no, very good). This should come as no surprise as the company is well-known for its integration and learning programs that are highly regarded by professionals. To achieve this, the noise reduction did a good job of eliminating the external noise of the upper floor and the sound of the “room” in the solid office that I tested.
The same app is one of the easiest to use when experimenting when exploring the complexity of editing and mixing words on the phone. Three pages make things easier: Write, Edit, Mix. Everyone has a clear work environment with easy access to any options – such as results or silent feedback. From there, saving and exporting to share with the world (or your computer) is easy. If your song is useful and “four songs” you don’t need much more. If you are looking to create an EDM banger full of updates and more, you will want to use this to get some ideas and download them later on PC.
What about the new preamp? It’s hard to know without having a pre-existing comparison. Obviously, it seems to have increased the value of even the most accurate vocabulary without distortion. I didn’t take any quirks on the sign even though I was recording next to a lot of other electronics including the phone that was receiving at the time.
All in all, iZotope has already made something good already good in some important ways. It’s a pity that the company never came out and made Spire 2 either with other inputs, connected to the desktop with USB or any other event, but Spire is now better when it counts and not bad at all. What would be a small extinguisher then the price you have to pay for this little upgrade. The original one sold for $ 350, but the redesigned version will get you back $ 499. This is what jumps on many other changes.
