Zojirushi Umami Rice Cooker & Warmer NL-GAC10 Review: Evil Cooking Reduction Machines

When I started heard about new machines Zojirushi I was very impressed with the fact that not only does it cook rice but it also comes with other slow-cooking functions. Then it appeared at my house, and he hurriedly threw me down to the ground. Although the plate was large enough to make good rice, the “slow cook max max” line was in the middle of the side of the pot, meaning you could use the machine to make only one liter of slow-cooking food. Realizing my mistake, I sent the machine to get the two versions, which I quickly learned could make rice for 10 people but cook slowly for about three.

Anyone else confused by that number?

Zojirushi is the kind of love in our home. My wife, Elisabeth, and we have the company’s rice cookers, R2-D2 – called NS-LAC05. It is a real marvel that can make three cups of 180-milliliter rice at a time. Ours was a wedding gift eight years ago, and it has just been sitting on our table and making delicious rice and warming it for days since we received it. While some people like to cook rice on the stove, I love the good and the delicious cooking, as well as its ability to make rice at dinner and have a warm meal and wait for the next day for lunch. That is what is most commonly used in our kitchen.

Not too long ago, I tried Zojirushi’s high-end pressure induction cooker, an expensive but impressive machine, which made me a little jealous that I didn’t have one. But until our little LAC-05 opens the container, we’ll be fine.

About two years ago, I looked again Zojirushi’s “Multicooker” comfortable cooks, six liters can be adjusted to its extent and they can hunt animals. Slow cooking is what makes it, but it also makes rice and yogurt and can also eat food. They are not the same as slow cooks and work better than most of them, especially in directing freaks.

Zojirushi’s printing press has promised that the new Umami will marry some of the two machines: a rice cooker that can delay cooking. While I was confident that the rice would run out of things, the idea that you could make a large but slow-moving 1.8 liters of food does not make sense.

Borrowing a few lines from Hugh Acheson’s excellent book, Chef and The Slow Cooker, “Slow cooks are large, up to seven or eight liters and some are as small as two kilograms. I recommend a large one, four or more.” We are a minority, yes.

NL-GAC comes with a 5.5-cup or 10-cup supplement.

Personally, I recommend at least six liters, since cooking volume is one part of the slow-cooking pot. Not only can you put the pork shoulder in the form of six liters at the beginning of the day and have delicious tacos at dinner, but you can also make a dash for your friends and stick the yogurt leftovers in the fridge when they go home.

In addition, almost every way you put in a six-liter pot will fit into it.

When my mother-in-law arrived at the experimental kitchen, I opened it Eat Your Books a list of online resources, I’ve found 17 fun recipes recipes in the cookbooks I have, and pulled them off my shelves. For no other reason than that sounded the same evening, I started with America’s Test Kitchen recipe for chicken and corn chowder. Once in the pot, the ingredients crossed the “slow cook max max” line with enough money, but there was no going back with a pot of raw chicken, so I hit Start and crossed my fingers.

I then picked up 14 cookbooks and put them back on the shelves where I realized I wasn’t using less cooking so it forced me to form smaller cooking recipes that I liked.
