The all-round Rolls-Royce aircraft breaks the record with a speed of 387.4 MPH

Just two months later female plane, “Rolls-Royce” Spirit of Innovation “hit 387.4 MPH, trying to break speed record for electric aircraft, Gizmodo they say. It also reported a maximum speed of 345.4 MPH over a distance of 3 km (1.86 mile) and a maximum time of up to 3,000 meters (9,843 feet) (202 seconds). Records should not be confirmed, but if the speed of 345.5 MPH stops, it can beat the current record of 213 MPH – maintained by Nokia-powered Extra 330LE – with impressive 132 MPH.

Rolls-Royce (pilots, not a car company), passed the test on November 16. To verify the records, it sends the tests to International Aeronautical Federation (FAI), an international record agency. If confirmed, its speed could be quite impressive considering that the plane just took off for the first time in September – meaning that over time, it could fly much faster.

The Spirit of Innovation is an old-fashioned “tail-dragger” aircraft with a rear-propelled roof, and it looks as fast as it can fly. It is powered by a 400 kW (535 HP) engine, 750 volt. Rolls-Royce said it uses “the most powerful electronic packet collected in the atmosphere,” and 6,480 cells.

As Engadget is described in a narrator, electric jets are not useful because current batteries are 50 times less than jet fuel. However, they do have promises for very short trips, such as a For 30 minutes between Vancouver and Victoria in Canada. And unlike ICE-free turbocharged engines, electric motors retain full power while the aircraft is mounting, which makes them ideal for trying to capture time and climb – as the Spirit of Innovation has shown.
