Kamala Harris takes the lead in the vice presidency

U.S. Deputy President Kamala Harris gave a series of radio interviews during a visit to Guatemala this week.
When asked why he did not go to the US-Mexico border, where the growing number of immigrants is causing concern for the local people, Harris simply answered the question and said, “We have gone to the border.” Under pressure, he laughed and said: “And I didn’t go to Europe.”
His comments were criticized and highlighted the political dangers that a senior White House official faces as a challenge and an escalation, points.
Harris was in Central America as head of the Biden administration in response to border issues, including the question of how to respond to refugees fleeing north from the troubled countries of Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras.
He has also been assigned the most difficult task of caring for a pet the right to vote and reforming police law through a highly divided Congress. He arrives on the road to sell President Joe Biden construction plans. In addition, they were also interested in the deaths of black women and other racial issues, including the elimination of the vaccine crisis among the African-American population.
Harrison’s first foreign trip as vice-president revealed what critics and allies say are his political weaknesses and weaknesses if he is re-elected as President. Harris, a former California senator, resigned from the White House in late 2019.
His comments earlier this week on NBC News provoked outrage, especially from Republicans who are oppressing refugee authorities. In the meantime, they have taken statements from fellow Democrats urging immigrants not to come to the border.
Mary Anne Marsh, a Democratic lawmaker, also spoke of the vice president’s failure to deliver a message on the trip.
“If this is your first time as a vice president of the world, you want to do well, and they can do well,” Marsh said.
Harris made his mark in January by swearing, being the first woman, the first black and the first American-American to be the second president. He has more power than the heartbreaking vote in the Senate which was divided between Democrats and Republicans. But some of the duties of the vice-president have not been clearly defined.
People close to the administration say Harris has proven to be an expert advisor to the president and frequent attendance at the White House, attending conventions, giving advice to Biden and appearing next to him to speak out.
Biden himself served as vice president under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017. When he announced Harris as his running mate last summer, he said he hoped to offer the same advice as Obama.
“When I agreed to be President Obama’s running mate… He asked me what I really wanted… I told him I wanted to be the last person in the room before making important decisions,” Biden said.
He added: “That’s what I asked Kamala. I asked Kamala to be the last person in the room.”
Harris is not the first president to have a hard time. Recently, Mike Pence, vice president of Donald Trump, head project management team at the White House.
“The role of the vice president is that, if you win, you will be the president and the superintendent. If you win, they will be yours, “said Kenneth Baer, founder of Crosscut Strategies. He was the keynote speaker for vice president Al Gore in the Clinton regime and the 2000 presidential election.
Harris’s supporters say his troubled record only confirms what Biden put him through.
“Any of these questions could be a full-time job for most people,” Marsh said.
Many Democrats say Harris is facing unfair criticism, especially from Republicans, for calling her a black woman. But some have admitted that he made a mistake in Latin America and that his refusal to fix – Harris later exchanged arbitrarily with the Univision anchor at border crossing – only reminds people of his mistakes as the 2019 president.
“What I think you have seen in the last few weeks. . . and some of what you saw during the campaign, “said Marsh.” In various places during the campaign, it didn’t do very well. Some days, it was impressive. ”
The end of Harris’s term is the future of Biden, a 78-year-old politician. Proponents of her case have been working to make the actual transcript of this statement available online. Next week, as part of fighting for his right to vote, he met with state lawmakers from Texas, where Democrats recently closed a government document that would block access to voting.
“There is a meaning. . . that he is looking more closely at his future as opposed to the job, and I don’t think this is true, “said Dylan Loewe, a former spokeswoman for Vice President Biden who also wrote Harris’ essays.
“The last thing he wants in his future campaign, at any time, is for the issue to be about the future not only the president, but also that he was not vice-president for Joe Biden as Joe Biden for Barack Obama.”
