‘Splitgate’ finds new map makers and brands on January 27th

Splitgate, a sci-fi shot that took me careless Quake 3 Arena days, is experiencing a number of updates on January 27th and its update to Beta Season One. There are map builders to build and share sessions with friends, 100 degree achievements, as well as newer versions of the One Flag CTF and Evolution. (The latter provides a lost group of all-round revolving weapons.) Game Games 1047 also says that Foregone Destruction maps are gaining greater reliability, which should be a sign of the same upgrades coming to other maps.

“Our map maker will continue to evolve along with all other games,” Ian Proulx, CEO of 1047 Games, said in a statement. “We see the map maker as a tool to transform the community – it is a powerful force for fans to play with the first day of our new era, and we are excited to hear feedback from the community on the types of materials and equipment they want.”

All of this sounds like good news to Splitgate fans – few, few who have ever lived. According to SteamDB images, the game currently sees 1,000 to 2,500 players daily, far beyond the number of 67,000 players in the past five months. I would be waiting for the installation of Images of Halo Infinite free multiplayer mode in December it didn’t help (that’s where all my free time has been lately), but Splitgate is popularity has also declined slowly since it opened last August.

Sure, it was interesting Splitgate dropped 10 million within 30 days, but with the number of free shooters out there, 1047 Games will need to do more to keep people interested in the full release of the game. A hardcore fanbase is not enough.
