Roland Go: Pro-X mixer. | Engadget

Roland’s Go: Mixer series has found fanbase and musicians looking for a pocket answer solution – and with good reason. Combined are lightweight, provides connecting wallets and will not damage the bank. The most recent race, “Pro-X, ”He brings a few others but necessary lifting from the beginning Go: Mixer Pro.
The new feature here is not only compact but also: Roland says Pro-X is expanding support for Android phones and iOS devices. Don’t worry, then and some additional listening. Similarly, the new “pad” for accessing guitars (to reduce the number of images) and the headgear / viewer are now pointing to the side (for example, it is an extension). Roland writes the latter as a way to write a mic to connect your headphones, but you can also get a lavalier / 3.5mm source, if you can be without a monitor.
The whole Pro-X is the same as before the Pro. There is one XLR combi port on the right side of the microphone and 1/4-inch hardware. In addition to this feature you will find a power supply (using a condenser microphone), a 3.5mm smartphone / line input and a guitar / bass port. In front of it are two other 3.5mm inputs, a new standard, a side earphone switch and a phone switch. The left side is equipped with 1/4-inch armor and a battery cover for four AAA cells that require phantom power.
In short, if they have, or are flexible, a 3.5mm port, an inch-jack jack or an XLR connector you can use it here.
At the top of the Pro-X is where you can find profitable rotaries on all routes. A few things to note even this: the 3.5mm “smartphone” input has no chance of adjusting, you need to change it on the phone itself. However, you can also place the phone in one of the four-inch ports with an adapter, so you will have control over one of the ports if necessary. I should also mention that volume is also an important factor which is not really good if you want a lot of analysis but a small benefit in recording or vice versa.

Since the Pro-X was designed to work with your phone, there is a cable in the room that serves as a controller for your phone. Obviously this means you don’t have to have your phone wrapped around like a heavy paper, but it also provides a good camera if you want to run the functionality. My charged iPhone 12 does not of course Enough in the beginning, but enough to keep the phone strong when you use it.
If there is one immediate thing I can change, then it is a sign of “acute”. Unlike a DJ mixer where you can have more LEDs that show the amount of each channel and a unique large volume, the Pro-X has a single LED that appears in red when each input exceeds its limit (i.e. pruning). It is possible to set your parameters so that there is no red light that is visible when you look closely, and then just move once. If there was a way to check the frequency that you are around 0dB that would be very helpful.
Worse yet, I found that some of my own posts I had written he did not the red light trigger can be slightly distorted during play. Speaking of microphones, everything looks good, but recording is often a “twist” in the auditory components. Fortunately, you can hear this in your headphones as it happens, to change the stages before you record, but in the end the less light if it doesn’t stop you from doing things too much? It made me nervous about any writing until I tried different sections and relied on lighting.
After experimenting with various mics, it became clear that the powerful machine was fine, but every condenser I tried needed another head chamber to avoid the harsh sound. It is not known whether this is a pre-amp or phantom power issue, or just a serious problem for condensers. After experimenting with the Shure SM59 (power / non-power), I was able – really I should – set up a profit, and even though its volume was 75 percent there was a headache.
And this brings us back to the fact that monitoring is the equivalent of great gains. You want your layers to be very low to make sure you don’t jump, but in doing so, your lighting levels are also low, which makes it hard to feel your mix and the way you want, you know, is important.
I avoided this story by making sure I wrote something that shows more. For example, the Rode’s Reporter app has a nice, wide meter that shows you how hot your signature is and was easy to use as a measure of what was included.
Problems get sidetracked, once you are settled, everything is straight. As I mentioned above, I like to plug in a phone (or any other 3.5mm source to fit) through the Guitar port. Having a strong rotating sound helps you to reduce the amount of flies properly, which is useful if you want to use music beds or other objects where you may want to adjust the volume.

Similarly, if you want to use two XLR microphones – say podcast or voice and mic’d tool) – you can choose one of the 3.5mm ports and something like iRig Pre 2. This means that you use other tools, but if you are writing more, having an XLR-to-3.5mm adapter / format is useful to have.
As for the new recording technology and connector for your headphones, what can I say and… works? The mid-range machine isn’t good, but it’s not a bad thing to have a lot of input, and it can work well for chat podcasts or just write a conversation over the phone. As mentioned earlier, you can feed other entries here if you do not need to monitor, say if you are recording a voice or some other program that you want to change later.
Probably the most exciting thing, for me, is china can i use this? Its features as a blended blend for singers are obvious. But I also feel like it’s a must-have thing if you deal with the word in any way. I have been collecting other adapters. I have all kinds of cords, links and various microphones. Something like Pro-X asks me as an easy way to put many in simple design.
Income means that it is flexible, too. That’s a beautiful combo right there. The sections I mentioned earlier are about learning how to set things up. When I realized it wasn’t hard after all.
I wish the volume was different from the larger volume when you really wanted to record but feel how the mix felt together. Maybe that’s what we can expect in the future.
Whether you are a garage group, a traveling artist or a podcaster who loves to travel around the world there is plenty to like here. Pa $ 150, with very little money on what you can afford to carry in your back pocket.
