Repetition of TrainingerRoad Adaptive Training: A Fast Future

TrainerRoad is very little on cycling training programs. It does not contain exercise sweets Zwift, countless jokes and a number of climbing options that come with it System, and the personal touch of the personal trainer (who comes with a higher monthly fee) on Higher Education. But this platform is very useful in achieving one of its goals: to make you a faster cyclist.

The platform achieves this through its machine learning tool called Basic Education, a system that develops training plans with goals that are updated on a daily basis using intelligent machine programs that respond to the rider’s unique strengths, weaknesses, and barriers. The program evaluates each exercise to determine how easily the rider completes each training session.

For example, if you break the VO2 max workout, the program will change and spit on the hard workout routine the next day. Or on a day when climbing is difficult, the program will slow you down a bit and give you a little more exercise. You have the opportunity to accept an updated program or stick with the initial challenges. The more you use it, the more it can use a lot of data to better organize your studies, like the Google Nest thermostat which, over time, boosts your home temperature by learning how to use it on a daily basis. Since it follows you over time, it is sold as a subscription service; you pay $ 20 a month, or $ 189 if you buy it all year round.

To get you started, TrainerRoad creates a customized training program to help you plan for a future race, climb, or event. It asks you, among other things, to choose the type of race (rock, mountain, road), the date of the event, and your favorite days indoors and out. For those who have no intention of competing with the mind, who just want to exercise, there is a TrainNow system that TrainerRoad gives you the opportunity to choose daily exercise from three categories: Rise, Attack, and Endurance.

Basic Education may be smart, but it has not been smart enough to address the need for testing along the way to establish your “functional threshold power” (FTP) base. The strongest signal you can have after 45 to 60 minutes is measured in watts. These FTP tests are included in the training plan at the beginning of your experience, and then repeated every four or six weeks to review the program based on your “track”. These steps are how the program shows you your strengths as you grow in each training area. Recognized at levels 1 to 10, they are calculated using three methods: machine learning, more corporate data collected from millions of last-minute athletes and other athletes, and how you strengthen your body in the recent past.

The Adaptive training of TrainerRoad fascinated me. In my experiments, I have found them to be useful, inexpensive, and easy to use. I was also encouraged by and podcasts the company makes. I listened to sections with users including Masters world champion Jessica Brooks, a busy and always busy, high-profile woman; US Paracycling Nationals silver medalist Francesco Magisano, who is blind; and David Curtis, a mountaineer who got out of bed for nine hours Leadville 100 in nine months.

I tried the program in Minnesota in December after a four-week cycling trip due to minor surgery. With no coaching intent, I set up a 100-kilometer stone race at the end of May as my goal. I tested the ramp in the official Erg way; Ergometer shortening, this is the most common method for cyclist trainers where you allow the trainer to set the amount of resistance for you based on your output. In my experiment, there was a point where driving was so easy that I could not turn quickly to fit the starting water.
