Z FC’s Nikon mirrorless camera remembers the glorious days of the 35mm video

Nikon returns to his glorious 35mm photography days with his second Z-series APS-C (DX) camera, Z FC. It is designed to enhance the company’s reputation FM2 SLR since the 80s, it offers generous controls, including dedicated dialing for shutter speed, tear compression and ISO. The classic retro look can also attract people who are looking for a more original design style Fujifilm and others.

Unlike Fujifilm models, however, Z FC has its own playback, which is why you can’t set colors by combining settings from ISO, shutter or dial dial. It has a d-pad type on the back, but (like the Z50) it has no dedicated legacy.

Z FC (maybe FC stands for a video camera?) Is not just about its form and functionality, though. It uses the Nikon Z Z mount and shares a 20.9-megapixel sensor, Expeed 6 processor and more Nikon Z50.

However, it adds a full OLED display (not LCD), as well as a very fast USB-C socket for transfer, charging and power adjustment. Some of the features include a 2.36 million drop-in electronic display, a single SD card, a microphone connector (no headphone jack) and an EN-EL25 battery that provides 300 shot at the price.

Like the Z50, it can shoot 11 fps with autofocus and display independently, with object, face and eye tracking. However, it now gives you the opportunity to combine face-to-face tracking with the visual interface, the size of which the camera looks at the head.

You can shoot high quality 4K video using a full sensor, and Z FC introduces a full-time visual autofocus and shooting video. This, combined with a clear sensor, makes Z FC more useful for taking and taking selfies than the Z50.

In order to take full advantage of the small size and retro look, Nikon also released the Nikkor Z 28mm f / 2.8 (SE). It is very small and has a tourist attraction or street art, and also offers a fun retro look.

Z FC arrives at the end of July $ 960 for body only, $ 1,100 with DX 16-50mm f / 3.5-6.3 VR kit lens or $ 1,200 with new 28mm F.2.8 (SE) lens. The rest will be resold for $ 300, but it will not come until the fall.
